
It is Rotherham Hospice’s aim to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all patients, staff, and visitors always. With the continued presence of Covid-19 we request you read the guidance outlined below:
- Visiting times: Open visiting from 1pm to 7pm. Only 2 visitors per patient will be allowed in a patient’s room at one time
- Other visitors may use the café area whilst waiting to change over with other visitors already in the patient’s room
End of life Care (EOLC) Patients
- Visiting time is unrestricted for EOLC patients. Only two visitors are allowed in the patient’s room at any one time, this is to facilitate social distancing and keep staff, visitors, and patients safe
- When a patient enters the last hours of life, the nursing staff will permit up to 6 visitors in the room
- Other visitors may use the café area whilst waiting to change over with other visitors already in the patient’s room
Safety measures in place
If you or a member of your household has a positive test or symptoms of Covid-19 please do not visit the Hospice.
On entering the Hospice, you will sanitise your hands with the gel provided and you must wear a mask at all times on the inpatient unit, unless indicated otherwise.
If you are visiting a Covid positive patient, before leaving the room to go home visitors should remove all PPE except the mask, wash your hands, and then leave the Hospice. Please don’t use the Café facilities.
