Previous Patient & Family Feedback

During the most difficult /challenging of times the Hospice at Home team were always on hand to help mum, whatever time of day or night, nothing was too much trouble and they were always on hand to help, without them the most difficult of moments would have been too stressful to imagine now.

I have found the bereavement support group very helpful as you know you are not the only one going through grief. I have met some lovely people and wish them all well. I feel I am on the way to getting on with life and am very grateful to you all. Thank you once again.

I want to express my thanks for all the care and support you gave to patient and the rest of our family. It’s been an honour to have had you as his nurse and I am so grateful you were there to help us through his journey, you are such a kind, caring and understanding person and I know that patient appreciated everything you did for him. As a thank you I will be donating some money to the hospice and buying a leaf for the tree of life in his memory.

I just wanted to thank you and your team for your care and compassion shown to us and my mother, I dread to think how mum could have endured anymore discomfort than she was you were great and we will never forget your kindness.

The thing about the keep fit class is how much better it makes you feel about yourself. The staff pitch the class at what you are capable of then ask you to go a bit further – the sense of achievement is brilliant. When the class is finished I feel happier and more positive plus the class is fun.

The remaining days my beloved Mum had could not have been in a more perfect place – surrounded by wonderful people, filled with such compassion and kindness – you have touched our hearts and I know you made my mum feel special.

Before I came here I was like an old lady, I was in a lot of pain and my attitude was low. I have joined the exercise class, Day Hospice, therapy and pain management. I feel a different woman, upbeat mentally and socially.

My brother was initially admitted into Rotherham Hospice for symptom management. From day one the care he received here was second to none. All the staff from the doctors, nurses, HCA’s, volunteers, cleaning and catering staff could not do enough for my brother. We cannot thank the whole Hospice team enough for their care and devotion.

Thank you so much for your professionalism and loving care you all gave to our father. His wish was to spend his final days of life at the Hospice and everyone did their upmost to make this dignified and peaceful.

All the staff have done their upmost to treat my mum with compassion and dignity. I have never been made to feel guilty for crying or asking questions. Thanks for all your support during this difficult time.

Thank you for looking after me and making me feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, so friendly and helpful. In my last 23yrs of work I only worked with one other lady so my first week at the Day Unit was a little overwhelming but you have helped me such a lot. I will miss coming and miss you all.
