Rotherham Hospice is proud to announce that its name will appear on the front of Rotherham United’s kits for the 2026/27 season — the third time the hospice has featured on the club’s first team shirts, and the second consecutive season it will do so.
The continuation of the arrangement is made possible by five businesses who have committed to the club’s Diamond Partnership for the upcoming season: AESSEAL, AR Naylor and Sons, Hummel, Mears Group and TMG Mortgage Network. Their collective generosity means that the hospice’s branding will be carried across all three of the Millers’ new kits — home, change and alternate — wherever the club plays.
AESSEAL, Mears Group and TMG Mortgage Network return as Diamond Partners for another year, and are joined for the first time by AR Naylor and Sons and Hummel, who steps into the arrangement in its first season as the club’s Official Kit Partner.
The partnership has already had a significant impact. During the past two seasons, it has helped grow the hospice’s profile considerably — contributing to landmark community moments including the Game of the Century, which raised over £25,000 for the hospice during Rotherham United’s Centenary Year, and the annual Midnight Walk, which once again departed from AESSEAL New York Stadium with hundreds of Millers supporters walking alongside the hospice community in memory of loved ones.
Chief Executive Mat Cottle-Shaw said: “There is something really special about the relationship between Rotherham Hospice and Rotherham United and last season, in the club’s Centenary Year, that association felt more meaningful than ever.
“It was a year that celebrated everything that makes this town remarkable, and the fact that it also welcomed in our own 30th anniversary made it all the more significant.
“To be returning to the shirt for a third time, building on the momentum of that extraordinary year, is something the whole team here is incredibly proud of. We care for people from every corner of Rotherham and that has always included Millers fans and their families.
“Having our name on that shirt means that wherever the club goes, our message travels with it. It reaches people in the stands, people watching at home, people who have supported us before and people who have never thought about hospice care. That reach is invaluable.
“I am enormously grateful to Rotherham United for continuing to champion us, and to the Diamond Partners whose exceptional generosity is the foundation on which this partnership rests. Together, I believe we can ensure that Rotherham Hospice is here for this community for the next 30 years and beyond.”
Rotherham United’s Commercial Director Steve Coakley paid tribute to the businesses whose support makes the arrangement possible: “Collaborations of this nature are only made possible through the shared vision, loyalty and support of the Diamond Partners each year — who I cannot celebrate enough.
“There is no doubt whatsoever that the kindness exhibited by the Diamond Partners is the headline of this arrangement and everything good that it stands for from both a football club and community perspective.
“This unique — and frankly, humbling — charitable commercial agreement has, and continues to have, a monumental positive impact for the organisations that it has benefitted. The services and care that the Rotherham Hospice provides are valuable beyond words and we want to play our part in ensuring that they are able to provide them for many years to come.”
