There will be three visiting times each daySlot 1) 12:00 – 14:00Slot 2) 15:00 – 17:00Slot 3) 18:00 – 20:00
To control footfall and enable safe social distancing, please note that the following rules apply:
- There are three visiting slots per day – patients may have two visitors during each slot, but both visitors must attend at the same time.
- Patients can have up to 6 designated visitors only 2 visitors will be allowed to visit any given visiting slot. But all 6 can visit during one day.
- Visitors can visit more than once a day as long as only 2 visitors per slot.
- To ensure that visiting is safe and controlled, the visitors must pre-book their slot with the nursing team before their visit, they must not turn up unannounced.
- The designated visitors must remain the same throughout the patient’s stay.
- Visitors must socially distance from staff (2 metres must be always maintained).
For End Of Life Care patients:
- EOLC patients. The patient will with the nurse compile a list of who they wish to visit (close family and friends only (limit of 10). Time is unrestricted But ONLY TWO visitors are allowed in the patient’s room at any one time, this is to facilitate social distancing and keep staff, visitors, and patients safe
- The visitors must liaise with one another to arrange when they are going to visit, this is to ensure that no more than two of them are on-site at the same time.
- When the patient enters the last hours of life, the visitors can be present at the same time. (limited to 4 at a time but family can be given a room on the corridor to keep swapping places)
All visitors:
- All visitors must complete an LFT each day they visit. This is a government requirement.
- Visitors must socially distance themselves from both staff (2 metres must be always maintained) & visitors.
Before being allowed to enter the ward you will be asked to present proof of a negative LFT test taken that day.
You will also be asked if you have:
- Active coronavirus.
- A continuous cough.
- A loss of taste or smell.
- Temperature exceeding 37.8 degrees celsius.
- In the last 2 weeks have been tested for Covid-19 and are awaiting the result or have tested positive.
If yes to any of the above, you cannot be allowed to visit.
You will be asked to wear a face mask and may also be required to wear further protective equipment but will be informed upon arrival.Thank you for your understanding.
