At Rotherham Hospice
A PLACE OF POSITIVITY AND QUALITY Facilities
The hospice has many places other than patients’ rooms where friends and family can go: sometimes for a change of scene or to encourage patients to move about, or just to share a meal or have a coffee. Please talk to one of our staff if you need anything.
Café
The café on the left of the entrance is open all day for patients and visitors, serving delicious healthy (and some not so healthy!) hot and cold meals.
The menus change daily and serving staff will be happy to help you with any allergy information you require.
The gardens
If you are more a fan of fresh air or need a bit more space, you can take a walk in our beautifully maintained gardens which are tended by a local charity and our volunteers. There is a variety of seating in several locations, a summerhouse, a fish pond with some particularly friendly koi carp, and wheelchair-friendly paths with handrails. This outdoor space is also the ideal place to spend time with younger children as they are welcome to run around and be themselves.
Family reflection room
Enjoy the view over the playing fields and Hospice garden in this calmer, reflective space with comfortable seating.
The family reflection room is for when you need a quiet place, to be with your family, or for children to relax for a moment, while visiting a loved one on the In-Patient Unit.
