Reindeer Run

for Rotherham Hospice

Dashing through the school for Rotherham Hospice!

Looking ahead to the festive season, Rotherham Hospice is inviting schools and nurseries across our borough to take part in our joyful Reindeer Run.

We’re reaching out early to give you time to plan. We’ll follow up at the beginning of the new school year to finalize details. Simply let us know how many students will participate, and we’ll take care of the rest.

If you have any questions before the end of this school year, please contact our fundraising team at 01709 966 000. We’re here to help make your Reindeer Run experience memorable and impactful!

What is the Reindeer Run?

The Reindeer Run is a fun and festive way for children to support their local hospice. Pupils take on a sponsored walk or run—big or small—whilst wearing their very own reindeer antlers. Every child will also receive a sponsor form and a certificate to celebrate their achievement.

To make it extra special, we’ll even provide a Santa suit for one lucky staff member to wear and lead the herd!

Just let us know if you’re taking part and how many kids will be joining in the fun so we can send out reindeer antlers and sponsor forms.

Flexible and Fun

We know how busy school life can be. That’s why the Reindeer Run is designed to fit easily into your timetable. Hold it during PE, playtime, or at a time that suits you. There’s no set distance—just choose a safe, simple route around your playground, field, hall, or local green space.

Why take part?

By joining the Reindeer Run, your school or nursery will be helping to raise vital funds for Rotherham Hospice.

Every year, we care for around 1,700 local people and their families living with terminal illness. With only around 60% of our funding coming from the NHS, we rely on the generosity of our community to raise the rest.

Taking part in the Reindeer Run means your pupils will:

  • Support local hospice care, helping families in our community.

  • Learn about kindness, giving back, and community spirit.

  • Celebrate the festive season in a fun and memorable way.
