24-Hour Corporate Fit-a-thon
Compete to win Rotherham Fittest Business
sponsored by TMG Mortgage Network
- Friday 10th - Saturday 11th July 2026
- AESSEAL New York Stadium
- £750 team entry (pay now, by invoice or fundraise your entry!)
Get your team together to keep our fitness equipment moving for a full 24 hours. Run, Row and Bike your way to the top of the leaderboard to be crowned Rotherham’s Fittest Business!
Each team of seven will be joined by a special PT, turning your team into eight. This could be one of the brilliant Fitness Truck trainers, a professional athlete, or even an ex-marine. They’re there to support you when it gets tough, push you on when you need it most, and help boost your team’s total distance.
How it works
Hours 1-8: Wattbikes
Hours 9-16: Rower
Hours 17-24: Run
You will take distance measurements and submit these to the marshals every 10 minutes. Failure to submit a distance will incur a penalty of -1000m from your total distance for that hour (so work together, cheer each other on or set your alarms!).
If you want to, you can take part in a mini competition on each piece of equipment. We will be awarding the best individual Row/Bike/Run (non-PT/Pro), best PT/Pro per kit, best team distance (Run/Row/Bike), best PT/Pro overall and eventually the Team winner across all 3 pieces of equipment (total distance).
In partnership with The Fitness Truck®
The 24-Hour Corporate Fit-a-thon for Rotherham Hospice wouldn’t be happening without the amazing team from The Fitness Truck®! They’ll be there on the day to support, cheer on and keep you motivated throughout the challenge.
Thank you to our sponsors
A massive thank you to our sponsors of this event, TMG Mortgage Network. Founded in 2021, they have become one of the UK’s fastest growing financial services networks. TMG Mortgage Network offer value through our support and unique proposition; being a network for brokers built by brokers.
They are also avid supporters of Rotherham Hospice, donating the naming rights of Roundwood Football Stadium to Rotherham Hospice, with the ground becoming ‘Rotherham Hospice Community Stadium’ along with raising funds for Rotherham Hospice
Each team member must complete 1 hour on each piece of kit. Hours 1-8 will be on the Wattbikes, hours 9-16 will be on the Rower and hours 17-24 will be running (you take it in turns 1 hour at a time). You will take distance measurements and submit these to the marshals every 10 minutes. Failure to submit a distance will incur a penalty of -1000m from your total distance for that hour (so work together, cheer each other on or set your alarms!).
Each piece of equipment will have their own mini competitions (if you want to take part). Awarding the best individual Run/Row/Bike (non-PT/Pro), best PT/Pro per kit, best team distance (Run/Row/Bike), best PT/Pro overall and eventually the Team winner across all 3 pieces of equipment (total distance).
It is only a race if you want it to be!! The aim is to keep moving for the full 24 hours, the distance you travel on each bit of kit is up to you! After all, we’re here to raise as much money for Rotherham Hospice as possible so there will be no losers!
Appropriate gym gear is fine (shorts, leggings, tshirts, vest tops, sports bras, padded cycling shorts, lifting gloves, trainers).
There will be food and refreshments available on the day but we recommend you bring appropriate amounts of hydration or snacks to fuel your bodies!
You can sub in a team member for a maximum of 5 mins whilst you nip to the loo. If you need longer, you need longer but it must be a legitimate excuse for the loo!
We will ensure we have adequate back up machines and batteries from our suppliers at Wattbike and Concept2! We also take distance measurements every 10 mins for recording purposes so will take the average of your last 5 x 10 minute blocks should equipment fail and we need to submit a score for that 10 min interval.
It’s not compulsory to stay but it is encouraged as we want this to be a physical and mental challenge for you and your team. If you leave, as long as you are back in time 7 hours later for your next effort, thats fine, If you’re late or fail to re-attend (except in extenuating circumstances) then a distance forfeit will be added to your teams total score!
We will require a decent level of base fitness to attempt this challenge but you don’t need to max out on each machine. It’s been designed to be tough, but achievable. Even if you row at a 5 min 500m pace, as long as that machine keeps moving, that’s all that matters!
All attendees MUST complete a The Fitness Truck® and Rotherham Hospice PARQ prior to attending and discuss any existing medical conditions with Pete or Leighane from The Fitness Truck®. Any medical devices or medicines will be required to be brought by each individual. There will be 1st Aiders on hand throughout the event.
