Christmas

with Rotherham Hospice

Christmas is a season of wishes

At Rotherham Hospice, Christmas is a time for care, comfort and togetherness. While our team continues to provide expert end-of-life care in the Inpatient Unit and at home, we also fill the season with light, warmth and community spirit. From festive meals to sparkling events, there are many ways to celebrate, remember and give back this Christmas.

Winter Wonder Garden

This December, our gardens will be transformed into Winter Wondergarden, a family-friendly light trail designed to bring our community together.

  • Saturday 6th – Sunday 21st December
  • 5-8pm every evening
  • Children Free, Adults £10
  • Visit Santa’s Grotto (£12 per child)

Light Up a Life

For families living with terminal illness, those wishes are often beautifully simple — to feel safe, loved, and surrounded by the people who matter most. By taking part in Light up a Life and dedicating a star in memory of someone dearly missed this Christmas, you’ll help Rotherham Hospice make those wishes come true.

With every donation of £10 or more, you’ll receive:

  • A stainless steel engraved star ornament with space for your personal dedication (up to 50 characters)
  • A Christmas card from the team at Rotherham Hospice
  • Your loved one’s dedication included in the Rotherham Advertiser and our digital book of remembrance
  • An invitation to our Light Up a Life service

Christmas dinner at the hospice

Join us for a festive Christmas Dinner at the Hospice — a new dining experience in our beautifully decorated hospice setting. Enjoy a traditional meal surrounded by warmth and community spirit. More details, including booking information, will be announced soon.

  • Monday 8th December – Sunday 21st December
  • £24.99 per person (£10pp deposit)
  • Must book in advance

Christmas Tree Collection

Take the hassle out of tidying up after Christmas and support local hospice care at the same time. Simply make a donation, and our team of volunteers will collect and recycle your real Christmas tree in January — it’s a simple, eco-friendly way to give back after the festivities.
