My amazing and strong mum passed away peacefully at the age of 60 with the fabulous support of rotherham hospice. She had battled early onset Alzheimer’s for four heart breaking years. Over that time we all as a family watched my strong, outspoken, fun loving mum change and go through so much. But she still had so much love particularly for her grandchildren.
She was cared for fabulously by my dad, he showed just what real love could achieve and I am so proud of them both!
The staff at the hospice were second to none. They allowed my mum to wear her favourite perfume and talked to her regularly even though she slept peacefully. They all made time to offer us support or help and some of the support staff even made time to come into the room and sitt with us. I am certain my mum would have been very happy to be there, with the amazing views and fantastic care.
So here’s to a fantastic lady who gave so much love and so much of herself all her life. You are finally at peace and you can watch over your amazing grandchildren as they wreak havoc! You got the love, care and attention you fully deserved mum. You will forever be remembered and forever loved xxxx
