Community fundraising is never a single idea. It’s always very individual and very unique. It can be attending an event, it can be hosting a dinner party, and anything in between. For Judith and her grandchildren, fundraising has been a wonderful creative outlet after experiencing a bereavement earlier in the year, when Judith’s husband Nigel passed away following a short illness.
Since then, Judith and her grandchildren have been incredibly busy creating bookmarks and selling them in order to raise funds for Rotherham Hospice & St Luke’s Hospice. So far they have raised over £1000! An incredible achievement that comes at a time when Hospice’s need support more than ever.
The bookmarks are beautifully made, covering everything from sports to animals and wonderful tributes to the NHS. The creativity of Judith and her family will help to keep Rotherham Hospice’s services running today, tomorrow, and into the future.
We thank Judith, Ethan, Freya, Lauren, Hattie, Isaac, and Oliver for all their hard work and cannot wait to see their next set of bookmarks, because as Judith says…. “Everyone needs a bookmark!”
