Chief Executive Officer

Mat joined Rotherham Hospice in July 2023, bringing over 18 years’ experience in fundraising, marketing, and charity leadership. 

Mat says: Rotherham Hospice is powered by the support of our community, and together with them, our brilliant team will continue to do our very best for all the patients and families in need of our help.” 

Debbie Coulson

Director of Income Generation

With a background in marketing, spanning industries like IT, telecommunications, and local government, Debbie brings 19 years of experience in the charity sector. Rising from an entry-level role to her current position as Director of Income Generation, she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM), a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), and a committed charity trustee.

Debbie said I’m very proud to be joining Rotherham Hospice at this exciting time and can’t wait to support the team in supercharging our Income Generation activity.”

Jayne Lowe

Director of Care

Jayne joined Rotherham Hospice in 2022 and brings several years’ clinical leadership experience within the Emergency department and palliative care in Sheffield, and senior clinical leadership experience in acute medicine in Barnsley.

As Deputy Director of Clinical Services, Jayne leads the Community Team and Day Hospice Team. She works closely with the Executive Team, deputising when required and leading on a range of hospice wide clinical issues.

Guy Craig

Director of Finance and Resources

Guy is a chartered accountant with nearly 17 years of experience at St John Ambulance, where he manages financial reporting, external audits, banking, taxation, and financial controls.

Based in Sheffield with his wife, Sarah, he has two sons attending university. Outside of work, he enjoys live music, sports (including cheering for Sheffield United), walking, and cycling. His cat, Dinah, often makes an appearance during Teams calls.
