Shop Wars 2018
10th October 2018
From Thurcroft to Wath; Wickersley to Maltby; Herringthorpe to Brinsworth and Dinnington... our amazing Hospice shops across Rotherham competed last week to raise the most funds in a single day, for this year's.... Shop Wars.
We had bake sales with the most delicious cakes you've seen. We had a guess the weight of the pumpkin competition. We even had a sponsored head shave. The shops were booming all day, and after all was said and done, the hard work paid off. Shop Wars raised a spectacular £7497.87, with Maltby raising the most on the day at £2011.06.
Maltby Shop Manager Alison said:
"The team spirit, along with the customers who supported us throughout was fantastic. There was a lot of laughing, and a lot of learning about each other and our customers over coffee and a chat.”
Head of Retail Julia Hall said:
“A massive thanks to the shop managers, assistant managers, volunteers, staff, all of whom went above and beyond. There was a clear theme across all the shops, despite them all having their own personalities. We are incredibly proud of the team.”
Our Hospice shops are key to raising the necessary funds for the Hospice to run successfully. You can help by donating your pre-loved clothes and goods to any of the shops for resale.
