We’ve got a brand new member of the Rotherham Hospice team! Meet Rosie.
Rosie is our brand new Mascot, and will accompany us to events and presentations throughout the year, as we aim to raise awareness of the vital services the Hospice provides.
Rosie’s first outing was this morning, at Riverside Catering. They have kindly created our Rosie-shaped biscuits, for our brand new ‘Biscuit Campaign’ involving a number of schools in the Rotherham area. For the campaign, students are asked to bring £1 to school on their chosen fundraising day, and buy a Rosie-shaped biscuit. After the day, Rotherham Hospice will bring Rosie to present students with a big cheque for how much they raised on the day.
Head of Fundraising & Communications at the Hospice, Samantha Wood said: “Rosie provides the Hospice with a fantastic opportunity to engage with the local community, and in particular Rotherham’s younger people, allowing us to raise the awareness of the work carried out by the charity.”
