Businesses invited to tour a global leader in steel and get the latest from HR law expert

28th January 2016

Rotherham's and the region's businesses are invited for a tour of a global leader in the steel industry – and to get some free HR advice from one of the region's top solicitors  – at a forthcoming business event organised by Rotherham Hospice.
The next in the Hospice's popular series of Business Breakfast events is set to take place at one of the world’s leading stainless steel manufacturers, Outokumpu, and features South Yorkshire's only employment solicitor to have a UK top rating in the consumer ratings website, Vouchedfor.
Taking place on Thurs 25th February, 8-10am at Outokumpu Stainless Distribution, the business breakfast will give attendees the opportunity to take a tour of Outokumpu and meet Jamie Sharp, Managing Director of Outokumpu Stainless Distribution, who is hosting the event; and hear an update from Jay Bhayani of Bhayani HR and Employment Law.
Christopher Duff, Chief Executive of Rotherham Hospice, said,
"This is the 4th business breakfast Rotherham Hospice have organised and I'm thrilled to see how much interest and support they have generated.  This event is a brilliant chance for our region's businesses to tour a unique and innovative site: Outokumpu are one of the world’s leading stainless steel manufacturers and the tour and chat with MD Jamie Sharp will, I am sure, be fascinating.
"Plus they will get to pick the brains of Jay Bhayani, and this will be important for all businesses – microenterprises, SMEs, social enterprises, and global PLCs – who want to make sure they are up to speed with employment legislation. There are plenty of HR developments to be aware of.  No business wants to be complacent and we can learn through Jay of how to avoid problems faced by others, for example, some of the UK's best known businesses have recently found themselves paying out six-figure sums in employment tribunals. Jay Bhayani has over 20 years’ experience of dealing with all aspects of HR and employment matters and will be an excellent speaker."
The event, which is free to attend, includes breakfast, networking, a briefing from Jay Bhayani and a tour of Outokumpu Stainless Distribution.
Jamie Sharp, Managing Director of Outokumpu Stainless Distribution, said: “When possible we like to support local charitable projects when stainless steel is specified as the material of choice. This gives us the opportunity to promote our unique products and services in a special way and hopefully at the same time bring enjoyment and something good to the local community. Outokumpu therefore built a relationship with Rotherham Hospice through our work on the Tree of Life and it is a great pleasure for me to host the next Rotherham Hospice Breakfast Network meeting at our main site in Sheffield. There will be the opportunity to show you where we laser cut the parts for the production of the tree of life as part of the network event.”
Whilst this event is free to attend, registration is essential:
