Job title:

Income Generation and Facilities Administrator

Salary:

£11,155 per annum

Location:

Rotherham Hospice

Hours / working pattern:

22.5 hours per week

Responsible to:

Community and Individual Giving Manager

We are looking for a driven individual to provide administrative support across our Income Generation and Facilities departments.

The role will include tasks such as:

  • Supporting the administration of the lottery activities, including data inputting, correspondence and customer support. Updating of the lottery master computer system, inputting payments and player details –cheques, standing orders, direct debits, payroll and cash.
  • Representing the lottery at internal and external events where appropriate
  • Carrying out general administrative duties such as taking phone calls, dealing with queries and enquiries
  • Creating, managing and maintaining databases for various data streams ensuring that they are up-to-date and maintaining their accuracy.
  • Creating orders and collating invoices

Essential criteria for the role includes:

  • Previous experience in similar type of administrative role
  • Knowledge of the legislation and guidance in relation to raising funding
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills with ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings when required.
  • Own transport and be able to travel if required.

Head of Community and Day Services

Salary:

£43,000 per annum

Location:

Rotherham Hospice

Hours / working pattern:

37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday with the occasional weekend and out of hours working. Participation in the on-call rota

Responsible to:

Director of Clinical Services

We are looking for driven individual to lead our Community and Day Services.

In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services and Community Services Lead Nurse the post holder will be required to:

  • Demonstrate clinical excellence, displaying sound understanding of evidence-based symptom management and holistic support and will work closely with the Community Service Clinical Lead Nurse to ensure high quality evidence-based services are provided.
  • Be a professional role model, develop, lead and co-ordinate the provision of high quality, effective care that is safe, minimises risks and promotes personalisation of care.
  • Always ensure that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of all clinical decision processes and care delivery and that patients are actively involved in decision making whenever possible.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the development of the Community Services, including the Day Service, to meet the needs of patients, and their significant others, who require specialist palliative care and/or end of life care and ensure the best utilisation of resources.

Essential criteria for the role includes:

  • Current NMC registration – First Level Adult Registered Nurse
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working within community services
  • Experience of leading staff and influencing care standards
  • Clinical Understanding of Palliative Care Services
  • Knowledge of leadership and management processes
  • Understanding of wider Hospice and NHS agenda
  • Ability to work in multi-professional teams
  • Good time management and organisational skills

We are looking for a driven individual to work in our Admin team. The main purpose of this role is to provide a high standard of Clerical/Administrative support to the Rotherham Hospice Community Team. You will also be required to provide admin support for other clinical departments when needed.

 

This role will make you the first telephone contact for patients, families, carers and other health professionals via the Hospice Community Team’s advice line, passing messages to the correct team member to assist the caller.

 

Essential criteria for the role includes:

 

  • Experience of working in a busy administrative role.
  • Experience of working effectively with members of the public.
  • Knowledge of office systems and procedures, including manual and electronic filing systems, Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel
  • Telephone enquiries and skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team

Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload
