Facebook Fundraising

Fundraising for Rotherham Hospice has never been easier than it is now that Facebook have released fundraising tools.

However you choose to fundraise for Rotherham Hospice, you can now create your own little hub which attaches to the Rotherham Hospice Facebook page for everyone to see, donate to, join the conversation, and more! You can track donations, set targets, and see it right there at the front of our Hospice page. It's a fantastic, and simple way to fundraise for Rotherham Hospice!

How?

  • Go to our Rotherham Hospice Facebook Page located here.
  • On the left hand menu, click 'Fundraisers'.
  • From here you can either click into an existing Fundraiser, donate to an existing fundraiser, or create your own fundraiser by clicking 'Raise Money'.
  • Once you have clicked 'Raise Money', follow the instructions and your fundraiser will be up and running!
  • Share your fundraiser with friends and family!
  • You will see your fundraiser appear at the top of our Facebook page, for all to see and to donate to!

Questions & Answers:

Q: What are the fees?
A: Facebook take no fee on direct donations to the Hospice. Donations to personal fundraisers are slightly different and are charged at 1.5% + 24p. Facebook says it is for 'payment processing'. To read more on fees, click here

Q: How does Rotherham Hospice receive the donations?
A: Facebook send it directly to us.

Q: Are donations eligible for Gift Aid?
A: Yes. If you are a UK tax payer, your donation could be eligible for Gift Aid. Facebook's article on Gift Aid from donations can be found here.

Q: How do I invite friends to donate?
A: Easy! Simply go to your fundraiser, and click "Invite".

Q: Will Rotherham Hospice contact me once a fundraiser has been set up?
A: Yes! Your fundraising is essential to us. We are here to support you in whatever way you need us. Whether you would like someone from the Hospice at your event, or if you just require a Fundraising Pack full of information on fundraising for Rotherham Hospice... or maybe you would like materials such as T-shirts, balloons, or collection boxes. Q: Can my fundraising event appear on the Rotherham Hospice website?
A: Absolutely! We encourage you to put your fundraiser on our website! The more exposure for your event, the better! And you can do this easily and quickly by completing the community fundraising online form located here.
