Clinical Nurse Specialists
Clinical Nurse Specialists support patients in making informed choices about their care by providing education, advice and information. They carry out assessments and use their specialist knowledge in symptom management and psychological support to plan care. They play an important role in ensuring patients and their families have access to the services they need. These may include counselling, benefits advice and referral to outher services such as Day Hospice and community volunteers. The Clinical Nurse Specialists provide patients with support to make important decisions about their future care.
