Fundraising for The Rotherham Hospice can make a real difference to people’s lives in a time of need. Here are just a few fun ideas you may want to do. Share them with your friends and see what other fun ideas you can think of! Just make sure you get the permission of your teachers!
A few ideas to get you feeling creative….
- How about a “Bad Hair Day” to get your School in a fundraising mood? Very similar to a non uniform day apart from pupils pay to come to School with wacky hair or even in wigs on the day!
- Have a fancy dress day, ask pupils to pay a set amount for coming in fancy dress; you could even have a prize for the best fancy dress in each year group!
- Any unwanted gifts or clothes? You could set up a donation station and ask other pupils and even teachers to bring in unwanted items which you could sell at dinner breaks, or if you are really busy, donate them to one of our shops.
- Simple games like name the bear and guess how many coins in the jar within your class are easy to run and generate lots of money
Fundraise and have a fantastic time!!
- Sponsored cycle speak to a local gym and ask if you can use one of their bikes in your School. Choose a distance for staff and pupils to take turns and cycle, a great opportunity to ask for parents to sponsor you and to keep fit at the same time!
- “Guess the baby” Persuade your teachers to bring in their old baby photos, display them on a wall and ask pupils to guess who is who for a small fee, the more photos the better! Great chance to laugh at those old photos and a prize could be given to the person who gets the most correct.
- 5 a side football Everyone loves a great game of footie, why not set up teams and ask them to pay a small fee to join in! Prize for the winners and the pride of knowing you’re the best!
- Talent contest Everyone has seen Britain’s Got Talent, why not try it at your School? All types of acts welcome, you could sell tickets to proud parents and other pupils
- Cake table Everyone loves a homemade cake, especially teachers! Arrange to bring in your homemade cakes on a particular day and sell them.
- Sponsored book read ask parents to sponsor you to read as many books as possible- no cheating though!
