A special way to remember your loved ones this Christmas
The Rotherham Hospice invites you to celebrate the memory of your loved ones or to honour someone special in your life by sponsoring a light and supporting this year’s Light up a Life Appeal.
For many, a light is a symbolic way of remembering a loved one and The Rotherham Hospice uses this symbol to provide a focus for families and friends by inviting people to participate in their Annual Ceremony and contribute names to the Book of Lights.
Dedicated lights are displayed all around the hospice building and are first lit during the service at Talbot Lane. The lights then shine out vibrantly through the dark winter nights until the New Year. Your dedication will be inscribed in our Book of Lights and displayed throughout 2011 at the Hospice.

The Light up a Life Ceremony
Date: Sunday, 5th December 2010
Time: 3.30pm and 6pm
Location: Talbot Lane Methodist Church
Please indicate on the application form how many people will be attending the service. You are welcome to send in readings or poems with the application form and some of these will be included in the Light up a Life Ceremony.
Last year the Light up a Life Appeal raised over £18,000, every penny of this was used to make a real difference to people with a terminal illness. Please help us exceed this figure and have more lights shining out brightly for the ones we hold dear.
